Necklace in Tangerine Tango and Pantone 2012 Fall Colors

Here is one of our latest floral bead necklaces in the Tangerine Tango.  I used one of my "sculpted flower beads" as the main focal combined with large round beads made with my floral petal cane slices and rondelle spacer beads in the matching Tangerine color.

I am finally getting around to listing some new jewelry pieces like this one in our Artfire studio and will be adding more pieces when I have some spare time in between working on orders.

I finally pulled out my Pantone swatches and the Pantone Fall fashion report so I can mix up some new clay colors for the coming season.  Tangerine Tango is Pantone's "color of the year" so is of course included in this fall's color palette.

New Flowers from Spliced Floral Canes

Here are some flowers I made from the spliced floral canes I showed you yesterday.  All of these flowers are not finished off yet but they are baked and ready to be used for various projects.

These shawl pins (and more) were delivered to several Kamloops stores today.  One of the stores, Electrictree Yarns, is new and will be opening next week Tuesday.

New Rings For Summer

Other than wearing my wedding band, I've never been one to wear fancy type rings until now.  Since I'm the type that everything in my wardrobe has to coordinate I discovered adding a ring as an accent piece can be  more fun.

These rings went out to the Shuswap Festival of the Arts gift shop this week.  We filled an hors d'oeuvre dish with some glittery silver sand and the rings fit nice.

Here are some new designs for the summer.  The top two are made using my sculpted flowers technique.  The bottom two were using left over blends from our Bargello series and have Swarovski crystals embedded in the centers.

Sculpted Flower Buttons

I'm working on expanding our line of buttons for the summer and these are some new sculpted flower ones I made while working on my latest tutorial, Sculpted Flowers.  One pair has embedded metal shanks and another with holes.  My tutorial, Making Perfect Buttons teaches how you can make your own metal shanks and embed them without the need for any glue as well as included templates for making perfect holes every time.

These ones I made by rolling out smooth and flat for fun. -- Imagine one of these large (2") buttons on a summer handbag or sweater.
