One World One Heart

Welcome to our blog!  We are happy to be participating for the third time in this year's fifth and final One World One Heart event.  This is where other bloggers around the world get to meet one another and share.

My claymate hubby and I create original beads, buttons, jewelry and home decor art all from polymer clay.   We have several gifts for our give-a-way this year.

A Lace Heart Pendant
This heart is in berry pink and is handcrafted from polymer clay using vintage lace as a texture and then highlighted with chalks and mica powders.  There is a Swarovski crystal embedded into the center and is hanging from a pretty silver plated bail.  It is on a nylon coated steel cable with our "signature" barrel type clasp.

Lace Heart Buttons
A set of three large handcrafted polymer clay buttons in pink, blue and maroon.  These were textured as well with the same vintage lace.

Funky Swirly Beads
A set of four double-sided textured beads in purple orchid and gold along with five large rondelle spacers all handmade by us.

For a chance to win one of these gifts:

* You must be a blogger yourself and have an active blog to participate.

* Leave a comment on this blog post with some way for us to contact you if you win.  If we cannot contact you, we will have to draw another name.

* Since we have three gifts for three different people, you tell us which of the three gifts you would appreciate the most....

That's all you have to do!

We will do a random draw for each of the three gifts from the list of comments on February 17th which is also when the winner will be announced.

Have fun and we are looking forward to meeting all of you!

One World One Heart 2010

Come ride with us on the One World One Heart magic carpet event.  This will be our 2nd year particpating and it is a fun way to discover new things and make new friends.  Just click on the photo above and it will whisk you away to find other fun blogs to visit and people to meet.

Our magical gift this year is our pastel heart brooch-pendant along with a softglass cord of your choice ($35 value).

If you would like to be in the draw for this heart, all you have to do is leave a comment on this actual post.  You do not have to be a blogger to enter - just be sure to leave an e-mail address so we can contact you if you win.  We will make our draw on Valentines day, February 14 (cut-off time is 12:00 noon pacific time) and announcing the winner in the morning on February 15.

Have fun and enjoy the ride!

Working hard - or - Hardly working?

Actually I've been having fun more than anything.  Been busy making more tiger print supplies but also had some fun with making some new buttons.  This is my pile so far that are ready to photograph and list in our Etsy shop and I have more in the oven while I write.

I am always scrounging around for odd things that I can use or incorporate with my clay.  The other day  I found two unusual items in my drawer and decided to make a mould from them.  (See my earlier posting on how to make a mould.)  I then recreated some new clay pieces from those moulds and made them into buttons.

I think the rich jewel-tone metallic colors giving them a sort of vintage look.  Speaking of vintage -- I also have some new hearts for this years One World One Heart give-away.  I will share more on that soon.

One World One Heart Give Away is Coming to an End

The One World One Heart give-away comes to an end tonight at 10:00 pm Pacific time.  We will use the Random Number Generator to pick the number of the winners of two of these heart pendants.  Yes, we said if there were more than 100 comments we would give two away and looks like we more than doubled that number.

We will do the draw tomorrow (Feb 12) morning and will contact the 1st and 2nd winners right away.  If the winners do not respond by that evening, then we will do another draw the next day on Feb 13.

This has been a lot of fun and even a little overwhelming as some of you may feel as well, with so many participants -- Wow over 900?!!  We tried to visit as many of you as possible and was really neat to see so many interesting blogs and "meet" the people behind them.  We plan to drop by and visit you later when we have more time.

Thank-you to everyone who participated and took the time out to leave such nice comments. Good luck to all of you in the draw tomorrow!!

One World One Heart Give

We are participating in something really cool this year.  Seems like a lot of fun and a great way to meet fellow bloggers and make some new friends.  Click on the picture link above to find out more about it.

For this event we will be giving away one of our Tapestry Heart pendants.  Each one has a Swarovski crystal embedded and a glossy polymer-resin finish for protection. The centre heart is in magenta and gold and the other two are in magenta, green and gold.  We made 3 hearts and so the winner will get to choose which heart they would like.  If we have more than 100 participants, we will give away 2 hearts with the runner-up getting 2nd choice.

So how do you win one of these heart pendants?  If you are an active blogger, please leave a comment on this post only.  Tell us which heart you would prefer and why and make sure there is way of e-mailing you in case you win.  This event ends on February 12th and that is when we will make a draw and announce the winner.  The cut off for the draw will be at 10:00 pm pacific time February 11th.

Looking forward to meeting you all and have fun!
