My New Present
I have to show you the wonderful present Dave bought for me the other day. It is this beautiful shawl that was hand knitted by Donna at Donna's Yarn & Craft Center. She sells our beads, buttons and shawl pins and I was admiring this shawl she had for sale. Dave had me try it on and decided I should have it. Isn't that so sweet? It is just my color and is knit from a gorgeous linen yarn.

The shawl is absolutely gorgeous and so is the pin.And the gesture of how your husband bought it for you is so beautiful.
When I read this I have to admit that it brought a tear to my eye.Because what you said reminded me so much of my own husband whose name was David.He too would have done the same for me.Sadly he passed away three weeks ago today.

The truth is I don't know how long my Dave will be with me as he has end stage renal failure. His new kidney he received 4 years ago had failed and we were recently informed that he cannot have another transplant as his body would just reject the new organ. We really are best friends and soul mates and so I want to enjoy him every possible day we have left together. I do not like to say too much but I cannot hide it either.
