These are all the parts you really need. The mandrel #402 piece has a screw in the end with small washer between. Remove the screw (keeping the washer on the screw) and attach like so:
Note: The little washer is between the screw
head and the buffing pad (it is hard to see).
That's all there is to it.... Happy buffing....
Thanks - this is perfect timing, as I just received my pads in the mail today.
ReplyDeleteI don't think my cordless Dremel came with a mandrel like that one, but perhaps I can find one at Home Depot.
Glad to hear you received your buffing pads. The mandrel is easy to find where ever they sell the dremel parts. Sometimes it is part of a grinding, sanding or cutting kit and you may have to buy the other pieces to go with it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this. This mandrel came with my Dremel but had a sanding disk on it and I didn't think about using it with the buffing pads. Not sure where my brain was hiding out that day.
ReplyDeleteGot my pads today. they are great. do you make them in a smaller diameter for say the inside of a ring? I am thinking of cutting one down to fit. Also, why not sent this How to tute in the package with the product? It would make it easier then going back online.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got them Donna. That is a good idea of printing this tut out and sending it. I don't know why I didn't think of it.
ReplyDeleteI don't make the buffing pads smaller as most people want them larger for easier buffing.
Personally, I wouldn't think of buffing inside areas such as rings. We would just rub a little of the wax on and then buff by hand instead. We just use a scrap piece of cotton towel or cloth for that. A piece of denim also works well.
You shared such a wonderful information about buffing pad. Thanks for this one.
