Tiger Print Buttons

We love to see what others have created using our tutorials, beads or buttons.  This is a photo someone sent us of a beautiful neck warmer scarf they made using our round tiger print buttons.

We have more tiger print as well as other animal print buttons in our Etsy Shop and ArtFire Studio.

Wild About Animal Print Beads

Like our animal print buttons, our beads are one of our best sellers as well.  We have them available in our ArtFire Studio as well as our Etsy shop.  They are listed as "made to order" and there are nine different shapes and four styles to choose from.

We generally have a supply of them in our studio ready to ship, however, we are also prepared to make more up if our supply is a little depleted.

We can do this by saving our information such as color recipes used to create the various canes and measuring the amount of clay required so each bead is consistent in size no matter which style or shape is needed.

A Tiger Treasury

My tiger print beads are in a really cool Etsy Treasury called Everything Tiger.

The treasury was created by Sparkling Bliss who makes beautiful beaded jewelry.  I love the Tigress Linked Bracelet shown below that matches the Tigress Earrings that are in her Treasury.

WILD BEADST

Warning:
Images that remind you of real animals are purely coincidental.

Whew!  My Etsy inventory of animal print beads was getting a little low so had to round up some more leopards, tigers and giraffes to restock.  I've been working on tweaking my colors and cane designs and I especially like how this batch turned out.  I'm not one for mass production, but when I create my animal prints, I want to be able to remake them with the same standard size, shape, and colors so I can fill repeat and larger orders.  Each bead is created individually by hand making them all still originals.  Now I just have to tag and photograph them and they will be added to our Etsy shop over the next few days....

Dave had some fun with the beads as well and this is his creation:

* Note:  No leopards, tigers or giraffes were harmed during this process.

Year of the Tiger

The new year is already off to a good start.  According to the Chinese Zodiac, the year of 2010 (February 14, 2010 - February 2, 2011) is the year of the tiger.  Found Hand Made did a unique tiger treasury in which our tiger donut pendant was featured.  My pendant sold almost right away after, along with more tiger print beads, so looks like I will have to get back to work and make some more.

In the meantime we do have some new tiger print jewelry pieces listed in our Art fire studio for you to check out.

The lentil swirl on this pendant is my absolute favorite and I love how it turned out.

I should mention something about the attached "bead caps" that are on the lentil bead itself.  I was experimenting with making some of my own bead caps and then decided to try out the Bead Cap Tutorial from Tina Holden (Beadcomber).  Her instructions were very clear and it gave me the help I needed for finishing off this piece.

Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous 2010.
