If the seller won't ship via USPS, I don't buy. On two occasions UPS charged me $50 for the privilege of having them take my tiny package across the border (with no tax or duties due). Never again.Linda Cardellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04802789764312179248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5814405208283796044.post-23472846686886262262010-02-09T18:31:30.702-08:002010-02-09T18:31:30.702-08:00My experience has been the same. The used to give me an option of USPS, but the last time it had to be UPS or Fed Ex. The sale was great, but the brokerage fees ate up all the savings and much more. No more Thunderbird for me. I did, by the way, let Thunderbird know about the outrageous brokerage fees, but they aren't interested in using USPS.<br />MoyraRadically Rileyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10492407114368956967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5814405208283796044.post-87452585840192127132010-02-09T09:46:02.990-08:002010-02-09T09:46:02.990-08:00Same thing happened to us with UPS. Now I have to have things sent to a postal box in the states since many places won't send by USPS. Big pain to deal with the border though. Makes it hard to order things from the USA.Cindy Lietz, Polymer Clay Tutorhttp://www.beadsandbeading.com/blog/polymer-clay-tutorial-inked-surface-butterfly-earrings-video/8326/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5814405208283796044.post-22402849000322992332010-02-09T09:09:20.638-08:002010-02-09T09:09:20.638-08:00I avoid UPS and FedEx. In the past Fed-ex just charged a simple $5 brokerage fee plus taxes and didn't charge for every single item!! That's atrocious of them. I'd give them thorns too! Thanks for spreading the word.Beadcomberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05776363515279928998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5814405208283796044.post-66055099990742286932010-02-09T08:30:04.493-08:002010-02-09T08:30:04.493-08:00Thanks so much for sharing Gera -- Looks like it c...Thanks so much for sharing Gera -- Looks like it could've been a lot worse and we were let off easy!
