Winter Shimmer

Here are a few more necklaces that remind me of winter.  I enjoy working with color more than black, grey or white but we find this color combination is the most popular as it goes with nearly anything.  The plus of wearing a piece that is more "neutral" is that you can wear it with almost any color.

Necklace in Tangerine Tango and Pantone 2012 Fall Colors

Here is one of our latest floral bead necklaces in the Tangerine Tango.  I used one of my "sculpted flower beads" as the main focal combined with large round beads made with my floral petal cane slices and rondelle spacer beads in the matching Tangerine color.

I am finally getting around to listing some new jewelry pieces like this one in our Artfire studio and will be adding more pieces when I have some spare time in between working on orders.

I finally pulled out my Pantone swatches and the Pantone Fall fashion report so I can mix up some new clay colors for the coming season.  Tangerine Tango is Pantone's "color of the year" so is of course included in this fall's color palette.

Chameleon Polymer Art Show 2013 and Floral Shawl Pins

Other than Christmas season, this is our busiest time of year.  Between store orders to fill we have been  preparing for the Shuswap Lake Festival of the Arts coming up in July.

There is another show coming up that isn't until February but I am already working on new pieces for it.  This one is called "Chameleon 2013" at the Seymour Art Gallery in the Deep Cove area of north Vancouver, B.C. and is all polymer.  It is exciting and a real honor to be one of the featured artists to take part in this big event.

You can read all about it and follow the blog that Joan Taylor set up featuring the artists and glimpses of the type of work that will be there.

In the meantime, here are some new floral shawl pins that will be at the Arts Festival in a few weeks.  I will list a few in our Etsy shop but may need to pull them for the Arts Festival if they do not sell before then.

Ooops!  These shawl pins are now available for sale at Bead Connections Store in Aberdeen Mall, Kamloops.  Will have to make some more I guess.

Wear a flower on your finger

We now have some new floral cocktail rings with Swarovski crystal centers for added sparkle just in time for summer.  A lot of the flowers coordinate with our brooch-pendants and earrings.  I'm now working on some floral beads for bracelets and should have some available next week if all goes according to plan.
