Get Ready for the Snap Challenge!

It has been two years since we first introduced our Snap Decisions Collection (Interchangeable Fashion . . . in a snap!) and shortly after that, the publishing of our tutorial.  It seems like yesterday as time seems to fly when you are having so much fun!

So we have come up with a new idea for those who have purchased our tutorial to show off their work and a chance to win some great prizes!  We are calling it the Snap Challenge!

We will be revealing more information on this challenge/contest very soon.  Just one hint -- the first challenge will be a Valentines Day theme.  In the meantime, pick out some of the favorite snaps you have made and take some good photographs to share.

The main rule for this challenge is that it is open to those who have purchased our Snap Decisions tutorial.  So let's get ready to have some fun!

Everyone in our town of Chase is extremely excited!  They have been trying to raise funds for a skate park and entered the Kraft Heinz Project Play Contest.  Our community is one of 4 finalists and the only one from Western Canada with the chance to win $250,000 for this project.  Now it is up to the Canadian people to vote and we need your help!!!

Voting begins on Monday, July 25 at 9:00 am PST and goes until the next day (Tuesday) 9 am.  Open to vote for 24 hours only and you can vote as many times as you want!  There is no limit.

Great Give-a-Way at Knot-Sew-Cute

So now for some exciting news.  We have teamed up with local artisans, Kim and Tara of Knot-Sew-Cute, who design and publish amazing crochet patterns.  They are having a "Giveaway" of one of our Interchangeable Crochet Hook sets.  These sets have become a popular selling item at the local yarn shops that sell our work and we have fun creating them.

Time for a Give away!

Earlier this week the list of followers on this blog passed 400!  I mentioned on our facebook page we would have a give-a-way to celebrate but was so busy finishing up my color tutorial, I didn't have time to get around to it.

The One World One Heart Event will be starting January 30th this year.  It is the fifth and final year for this and we will be participating again for our third time.  But as a special thanks to all our regular followers, we are having a "Pre-Valentine Heart Give-a-Way".

We will be giving away this handcrafted heart pendant.  The texture was made from antique lace and then highlighted with mica powder pigments in a deep teal and lavender.  There is a teal Swarovski crystal embedded into the center and it is hung from a silver plated bail on a nylon coated steel cable with our "signature" barrel type clasp.

To win this pendant, all you have to do is leave a comment here on this post and just a little mention as to what country you are from and how you met us or found our blog (if you can remember).  You have gotten to know us and our work through this blog, this is a great way for us to get to know more about you, our followers.

Announcing the Winner of our Naming Contest

We had a lot of great name suggestions come in.  A big thank-you to those who contributed.  We narrowed it down to three that we especially liked and want to give an honorable mention to Cynthia Blanton -- she gave a lot of good suggestions and we especially liked the one "Western Glitz" and an honorable mention to Kim Sturgis for the name "Country Class".

The name we chose as the winner is "Country Charm" from Dana and will be the official name for our  "Country Charm Collection".   Thank you Dana and we will e-mail you the $25 gift certificate.

Contest Continued

There are some good name suggestions coming in for a our contest but we are still looking for more.  This will be a permanent name for our new country western jewelry line so we want it to be special.

I finished off some bargello style beads and working on some designs with them.  Will have the finished pieces for you to see later.

Name the Category Contest

We are expanding our product line and would like our readers help in choosing a new catchy name for the category.  Our new line will have a distinctive "western" theme and as the name "Cowgirl Bling" has already been taken, we need to find another.  This is just the start of our new western and nature themed line and we will be posting more pics as we add to it.
