My Birthday Present Has Arrived!

Yeaah!  My books arrived in time for my birthday!  I came across the Making Polymer Clay Beads by Carol Blackburn some time ago and fell in love with it.  The photos are fabulous and it is full of so many inspiration ideas.

I was hoping to receive the Polymer Clay Color Inspirations sooner but it wasn't available in Canada until over a week later than the U.S. but I wanted to order it from Canada and save on shipping.  We are really impressed with this book and even though I have a fairly good grasp on mixing colors I feel there is always something new to learn.  I can tell already that this book will be a coffee table favorite when it isn't in use in my studio!

WHen is/was your birthday, mine is 9-21

I have been looking at your work on your blog and flickr for about 90 minutes. your work is astonishing, by turns...just lovely, so creative, so fun, so delicate and beautiful. In MVHO, you should start thinking about authoring a book. I see the influences, Kato, etc, but then I see something new and wonderful coming out of those teachings.

May you never lose your courage.

Dawn -- yes I saw the making pc beads book once a while back and was impressed and wanted to get a copy some day. I'm really enjoying it so far.
Yours Truli -- Thanks so much and I have been enjoying the books so far -- lots of fun reading!
DeAne -- Wow! We celebrate the same day! Happy birthday to you too! And thanks so much for your encouraging words. I have a friend that keeps suggesting I do a book someday - and I've learned to never say never (lol) but right now I'm enjoying playing with my clay a lot and hoping I'm improving over time. Who knows what this new year will bring -- life is exciting at times! Thanks!
